Classic Sprint
Sat, 8th
Sept 2007
On a
warm muggy day a number of TeamMK triathletes went to compete at the sprint
distance event at Grendon Lakes the day before the Olympic Distance event on
the Sunday. Both events included World Qualification slots.
Yours
truly was timing and set up the slippery timing mats at the exit to the
lake. It was the veteran Duncan McClaren who was our fastest finisher
in 18th position. Behind him was Big Al in 90th with the aquatic
Nigel Woods and Jason Lee following behind in 136th and 138th
respectively.
Junior Nick Mead was probably the youngest in the field and managed
204th in 1:54:59. His swim split was 137th fastest.
