Club Rides July to August, including NEW Sunday ride

Attached is the new Club Rides calendar from July until end August.

From July we launch a new initiative of a Sunday club ride.

This ride will start at 9am on alternate Sundays from Stony Stratford, through July to September, returning to Milton Keynes for 1pm. A tea stop will be included.

Etwall delivers - Simon Canning breaks both 25m records

Simon Canning broke both the TMK senior and vets records when riding in the Derby event last Saturday afternoon, on the fast Etwall course. So there is no longer any need to go the the Welsh ski slope ever again. The event was won with 49-07.

Verralum 25m TT - 2nd for Luke & Team award for TMK

Luke Clarke was 2nd and with strong performances from a couple of Tri regulars trying out the race-of-truth TMK easily took the team award. The event took place last Sunday morning on the F1-course.

There was quite a turnout from TMK will all the riders breaking the hour with Steve Torley being the 'slowest' with 58-22.

Easy points in round 15 with so few (relatively) riding, as the holiday season kicks in, and the tables begin to stabilise.

Brickhills Challenge (Rescheduled)

Start: 10/10/2010 - 09:00

End: 10/10/2010 - 13:00

After the cancellation of the Brickhills Challenge sportive in Feb, due to heavy snow, we will be running the event on the 10th OCT 2010.

The route will be the same, 85km approx, start time will be from 09.00.

On line entry through Race Timing Systems is £6.00. Entry on the Day will be £10.00.

NMHDA 100m TT - Steve Torley 5th in 100m debut

Your French correspondence reports that Steve Torley was a very creditable 5th position in his debut at 100m time trial with an impressive 4-06-25. He rode an very evenly placed race, covering the first 50m in 2-03-18 so he speeded up by 11 seconds over the second half. a windy day by all accounts especially on the A421 circuit.

Tables from your Spanish correspondence and the campsite wi-fi.

Along with Claire's new membership list this means some new TMK names (correctly spelt) pick up points. Rob starts dropping points in the TMK league and a couple of regulars face that in the future.

Having compared my version of the results with what Ian posted there were more 2-ups than I deduced!

A long slow boat journey has given me time to update things, and upload via a satelitte link.

Marshalling points are outstanding and when I have confirmation that Laura & Mike have signed up then they will get points. Also some reallocation between the two Chris Smiths.

NBRC 20m Club TT - Tandem sets course record

Kevin Stokes & Geoff Perry set a course record for 2 laps around Astwood last night, on the tandem.

It didn't seem a fast night as it was a bit windy but the pair knocked 6 seconds off the time set by Kevin & Ian Marshall, to set a new best of 43-42.

Rob Chaudy was pleased with his ride and a few other from TMK rode - Clive F, Mark K and John B.
