Etape Du Tour 2009 - Mount Ventoux

It is the BIG one - riding a stage of the Tour De France.  Montelimar to Mount Ventoux.

Seems like there might be about 8 TMk riders geared up for this event.  Steve Torley, an Etape virgin, Philippa Teago & Geoff Perry (both for the 7th consecutive time), and about 4/5 from the Saturday middle group (but I don't have their names to hand).  I will be riding in TMK for the first time, so I'll see if I can sign up some riders on the way around to fill in the time.

Entry will most probably be almost maxed out at the 8,500 limit, although not as popular as the 2006 event finishing up Alpes d'Huez.

The last time the EdT used this climb they had to abandoned the event due to the weather and send riders backdown before they reached the summit, as the weather closed in and people were suffereing from hypothermia.
