National Elite Duathlon - TMK gets gold and bronze
The National Elite Duathlon championships were this year held at Prestwold Hall airfield near Loughborough. TeamMK had a Gold from Daniel Murphy in the youth category showing what a promising future he could have in this sport. In the senior womens event Eimear Mullen won bronze.
Senior Mens
The mens event was won by Tim Don in 56:55. He is now living in this area apparently, which probably means I'm no longer the best trithlete with a surname beginning with "Do" in the MK area!. He narrowly beat Will Clarke into 2nd.
Senior Womens
TeamMKs Eimear Mullan picked up 3rd position behind Katie Ingram and Emma Dews in a time of 1:04:57. Juliette Minter racing for Olney Multisport was 12th in 1:11:42.
Youth Mens
TeamMKs Daniel Murphy showed that his very promising Duathlon result at the Bowl Duathlon earlier this year was no fluke in winning the Elite youth category. He beat Patrick Hough and Simon Cooper into 3rd and 2nd respectively. His run kept him well in contention and his bike ride sealed the victory for him.
