IMPORTANT – FUTURE OF THE BOWL CYCLING FACILITY

Your club and club members are cordially invited to an important meeting of the Milton Keynes Cycling Association to take place at the Bowl at 7 p.m. on Friday 9th July 2010.
The purpose of this meeting is to:-
(1) review progress regarding the future use of the bowl facility, following lengthy ongoing negotiations with the current landowners , which will involve an appropriately updated legal structure for the Association and more particularly to;
(2) look at the effective running by the Association of the facility which inevitably brings into focus the contribution of the member clubs and their members in support of both the organisation of the events as well as the funding thereof.
Any new structure will inevitably increase the obligations and responsibilities of the Association and the commitment of the member clubs and in turn their members is crucial to maintain a viable and thriving organisation and to deal with the issues of succession. We need to adopt a minimum 5-year business plan setting out our clear targets in relation to all aspects of the Association’s work and how this can be successfully achieved.
