Lindz Barral reports from his CSSC National Cycling Championship

CSSC National Cycling Championship – 16th July 2008

After my success in the regional event I approached the CSSC (Civil Service Sports Council) National event at Curborough with high hopes. The format consists of 4 races over a single day, 2 time trials, a points race (10 laps, sprints on laps 2,4,6,8 and 10) and then the championship race. On the day there were about 30 entrants including last year’s winner Keith Jones who once again proved too strong for the rest of the field despite repeated attacks from Gerard and myself in the championship race.
